AIC is a 501 (C) (3) tax-exempt nonprofit and nonpartisan educational organization dedicated to bringing better understanding of issues in US-Iran relations and providing a platform for constructive dialogue. A pioneer of the marketplace of ideas on US-Iran relations, the Council’s many achievements and leadership are listed on its website at www.american-iranian.org. The late Secretary Cyrus Vance was the Council’s Founding Honorary Chairman and Secretary Madeline Albright delivered her historic address on US-Iran relation in March 2000 at an AIC conference. AIC was incorporated in the State of New Jersey in 1997 and maintains an office in Princeton, N.J.
