For the past several years, a large group of Dallas Iranian Americans have been actively involved in the preparation of the NowRuz Festival. Hundreds of children and teenagers have participated in the Festival’s artistic classes, including Persian dance, choir, theatre, and music. They show off their newfound skills by performing at the Festival.
The Iranian New Year, Norooz, is a time of year to celebrate family, friends and the rebirth of nature. It’s also a time for spring cleaning ‘khouneh tekouni’ and, according to some, setting the tone for the year ahead.
Join us for our annual celebration of the first day of Spring. Please invite all of your friends as well. This year, our main entertainer will be none other than Black Cats.

Nowruz marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the Iranian year. It is celebrated on the day of the astronomical vernal equinox (the start of spring in the northern hemisphere), which usually occurs either on March 20 on March 21.
