Chaharshanbe Suri, also called the Festival of Fire, literally meaning Wednesday Feast is an ancient Iranian festival dating back to at least 1700 BCE. it is a prelude to Nowruz, which marks the arrival of spring.

We have teamed up with the Persian Student Association of Stanford University and Bay Area’s Shabeh Jomeh Chapter to bring you a special & exclusive Chahar-Shanbeh Soori celebration with family & friends at a special venue accomodating indoor and outdoor staging areas.

IAS will provide the firewood, fireworks, hot dogs and soft drinks. Participants may bring additional snacks if desired. Everyone is encouraged to bring a jacket and small flashlight, as there are few lights in the park after dark.
