About Nilou Farzaneh
Nilou’s figures look so simple – Anyone can draw a figurine or a flower. Her composition seems so effortless – Anyone can paint a woman on a bench, a flower in a vase, or a fruit in a basket.
What makes her work striking is how she paints the woman on the bench, and how she paints the bench on the canvas in a way that pulls the viewer into the canvas, onto that bench, and next to that woman.
What makes her work amazing is the complexity of her colors. They are not just complex, they are as if the only color they could possibly be. She incorporates depth in her work in a way that is not just color, or a shade – the way she treats her textures gives her paintings a sense of time.

About Mahyar Rahmatian
My motto is Today is Beautiful. At times, I need to forget about the past, not worry about the future, and capture that lasting or iconic beauty in the present moment. Photography allows me to do just that.
I feel I have finished creating that representative image when I don’t get tired of looking at it day after day, and later I hear the ahhh followed by a nostalgic comment from the viewer.
