The Mehregan Organizing Committee is pleased to announce that the 15th Annual Persian Festival of Autumn (Mehregan 2011) is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 1 – 2, 2011 at the Lakeside Lagoon Park in Irvine, California.

Each year on December a religious celebration is held at the site of Rumi’s tomb, to which tens of thousands of pilgrims come.
In the shrine there is a silver plated step on which the followers of Mowlana rub their foreheads and place kisses. This area is usually cordoned off but is opened for these devotional actions during the December pilgrimage festivities.
EIF aims to raise awareness of Iranian culture and helps to integrate it with other cultures in Scotland. There are seven categories (arts, books, comedy, film, food, lectures, and music) with events taking place in venues across Edinburgh.
The festival is being organized by a dedicated team of volunteers.

Naghali is narrating of important stories from the Iranian fables, myths and epics which have remained in the most important books since ancient times. A Naghal (storyteller) plays the roles of different characters with special tone, feelings and expressions.
Following Shahnameh Narration in English language is by Neda-afarid (Saghi Aghili), and the story is the Great War Between Iran And Turan.
