The volume of trade exchanges between Iran and Italy in 2003 stood at 3.852 billion euros, the figure showing a boost of over 4.6 percent compared to the figure in the previous year, IRNA reported from Rome.
Iran`s exports to Italy was valued at 1.899 million euros, showing a Euro 20 million increase compared to the figure in 2002.
Italy exported 1.953 billion euros worth of various goods to Iran in 2003 which shows a boost of Euro 158 million compared to the figure in 2002.
Iranian exports to Italy were mainly oil and its by-products while industrial machines and equipment as well as metal products were among Italy`s main exports to Iran.
