TEHRAN, Nov. 25 (Mehr News Agency) -- A group of Iranian and Norwegian musicians is scheduled
to perform a join concert in Oslo tomorrow to commemorate the Persian mystic and
poet Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi.
The program, which will comprise pieces composed by Oslo-based Iranian santur
player Javid Afsari-Rad, will be held at Riksscene, a Norwegian hub for
traditional music and dance and Iranian vocalist Salar Aqili will sing in the
performance.
Iran, Tajikistan team up for Rumi
commemoration
TEHRAN -- The Iranian Cultural Office in Dushanbe
has joined up with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan to hold
a commemoration for the Persian poet Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi on November 30.
Scholars from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan have
also been invited to the event.
Music scholar, singer to be honored in Tehran
TEHRAN --
Iranian folk music expert Fuzieh Majd and singer Rambod Sodeif are slated to be
honored during a ceremony at the Iranian Artists Forum tomorrow.
The ceremony has been organized by the music section of the Iranian National
Committee for ICOM (the International Council of Museums).
