  Los Angeles - 4TH ANNUAL UNSILENT NIGHT Thursday, December 10, 2009 7:45 p.m. Spring Street Arcade Building 541 S. Spring St./542 S. Broadway (enter on either side between 5th and 6th Streets) Los Angeles, CA 90013 All ages welcome. FREE! The electronic caroling parade will weave through the bustling city scene of the Downtown Art Walk, a free monthly event showcasing eclectic art exhibits and social culture in an urban, pedestrian-based setting. Phil Kline’s UNSILENT NIGHT is a free outdoor participatory sound sculpture of many individual parts, recorded on cassettes, CDs and mp3s, and played through a roving swarm of boomboxes carried through city streets annually. People bring their own boomboxes and drift peacefully through a cloud of sound that is different from every listener\'s perspective. Since 1992, this 45-minute work has grown into an annual communal event that has become an essential part of many winter holiday celebrations around the world. If you have a boombox or Mp3 player with speakers, e-mail Behnoosh Khalili at UnsilentNightLA@gmail.com to reserve a CD, cassette, or Mp3 of a piece of the original composition. Music will be distributed at the Spring Street Arcade Building for free at 7:45 p.m. Parade starts at 8 p.m. You do not need a boombox to participate. at 6:45 pm

Series 1 is presented Thursdays and Saturdays at 8pm; Series 2 is presented Fridays at 8pm and Sundays at 5 pm. There is no performance on Thursday November 26th. all day
